a few things on my mind

1️⃣: Italian wine is pretty darn good. I’ve never actually had any in recent memory, intentionally at least, and so am enjoying the bottle I opened tonight. This is another Easter dinner preview as the bottle I tried earlier didn’t quite offer anything of note.

2️⃣: It seems that some work will only be done in the evening and so I am acknowledging that and just doing it. But, that has its own baggage of late night work, for me, needing to be accompanied by either wine or bourbon. Reference item one above. I’ve learned (slowly) that bourbon + me + night = bad sleep and terrible next day. My body is able to better process wine and so am enjoying that during the late night work session instead of bourbon.

3️⃣: Things are coming into my mind for how to best utilize this blog that I set up last Friday night.

4️⃣: Sub-point to item three: I know that some people have one blog to rule them all, one blog to capture all of their musings, but I have simply never been that guy (for better or worse). I imagine myself at the end of my own RSS feed. Sometimes getting posts related to gratitude, sometimes related to post-divorce life, sometimes really/very work related, etc. To me that would be annoying. When I subscribe to someone’s RSS feed I expect the topic to be fairly focused, if things stray too far left or right I’ll likely unsubscribe as I was there originally for whatever I thought it was to begin with.

5️⃣: And so, cwa.omg.lol, this site, is more personal/random in nature but not deeply personal. The deeply personal stuff, where I intend to write about post-divorce related stuff, I’ll put onto a separate blog (likely NextChapter.blog (just registered, still need to create the site)). The work stuff, which started this point, I’ll put at BackOfTheNapkin.blog (a great yet very original name, if I may say so). I have yet another idea in motion for capturing my furniture building journey. Individual blogs for each one seems to make the most sense for me (and I think Scribbles is perfect for each one).

6️⃣: Related to all of the domain names, I recently needed to use a business card in a photo mockup of a custom order for a client. I ran out of mine (meh) and so went into my archive to use one of my previous cards. Came across the beauty pictured below: Aftertouch Productions. A recording studio a friend and I ran out of his parent’s basement way back in 2005-2007. Such good memories doing that with him. The back of the card had my name, title, the address, etc. And the domain name...which I checked and it was available so I bought the thing. I like to hang on to domain names, especially when they mean something to me personally. Not sure what I’ll do with it, but I’ll definitely offer to my friend as it was his idea to start it back then.

Alright - work calls. Lingering things on my list that I just can’t seem to make the time for during “normal business hours”, and so late night it is!

I don't plan to use this often, but if you have something to say using the form below would be a quick way to send me an email with your thoughts. Email is always an option, address is always in the footer of each post, but the form just makes it that much easier. Again, won't be used all of the time, but for now, why the heck not? Say hello if you wish, what's the weather like where you are?
