A time for everything
When I have a thought, or an idea, or a thing I want to do, I write it down. I write it in the notebook I carry in my back right pocket. I write it on the next empty space below the last item of my current list. I write it there knowing that I will likely not get to it today, but trusting that I will at some point in the future. It will be migrated from day to day, notebook to notebook, until it is crossed off, delegated, or deemed not something I’m actually going to do.
I believe we are given ideas, thoughts, etc. We do with them what we are supposed to. We try them, they fail. We try them, they succeed. We get to them when we get to them, and that is when we were supposed to get to them.
I try to not stress about migrating things from list to list, from notebook to notebook. If a thing is to persist in a not started state, then that is how it will be. There is a time for everything. There is a time to receive the idea and a time to work on the idea.
A nice rainy Friday here, hope you have a good one!
