How and Why

Things can’t be rushed. Time can’t be rushed. Learning can’t be rushed. Time moves as time moves, we live each day we are given, we do the things in the day that we are supposed to do. We learn. We gain experience. We develop an understanding of the world around us. We mature.

Present day, sitting and writing where I used to sit and write each and every morning. The sun beginning to rise. All of this being life lived, experienced, questioned, and eventually understood as far as is possible...doing my best to mature through all of it.

For some this may happen sooner than for others, but I believe we all “come into our own” in the time we were intended to from the start. This process cannot be rushed. If you rush through it, if you try to grow too quickly, the strength needed to persist won’t be there. Slow growth is required in order to develop the strength needed to mature into the various phases of life and then remain and continue to grow. (I write this in my late thirties, feeling as though I may be approaching one of these seasons with the approaching four oh, maybe not the first but I’m not sure I had the maturity in my earlier years to see things in this way).

All of that said, one of the things we learn through life as life is lived is the how and why of things. Or the why and how. Why a certain thing will or will not happen when it does or does not and how to incorporate whatever has or has not happened into the folds of life.

Or why a thing happens and how it happens, understanding movement in the various ways it is manifested.

This is the primary reason I enjoy and look forward to aging, doing so is the only way to learn and understand life that much better.

Onwards!
